March – BAW BAW SPRINT
The Mt Baw Baw Sprint is the first round of the new Australian Tarmac Rally 2023 Championship! Bringing rally enthusiasts from across the country, offering events for modern, classic cars and everything in between.
April – Gippsland Country Music Festival
Gippsland Country Music festival is a celebration of all things country. As well as showcasing Australia’s best country music including well-known legendary artists and the most exciting up-and-coming live acts, Gippsland Country Music Festival also features food trucks, smokehouse bbq, line dancing, whip cracking, rides, market stalls, on-site bars and all-round good times.
August – Walhalla Vinter Ljusfest
A festival to light up the town during the darkest month
During the dark and cold month of August, the historic gold-mining township of Walhalla is transformed as it celebrates the winter in a way that is reminiscent of the traditional Swedish manner of celebrating winter. The usually dark town, which has no street lights, is lit up through nightly art shows that includes a mix of light, sound and moving images to create an exciting light and soundscape.
